I have some commemts to make on the recent recommendations made by your group on radiation health standards. Recent research by the National Academy of Sciences has shown that our estimates of the health risks from low level radiation might be underestimates. I work with survivors from low-level radiation contamination. They suffer from birth defects and cancer, among other illnesses. Please reconsider 'exemptions' to any regulation of radioactive waste until we know more about the under-investigatied hazards of low-level radiation. Thank you for your consideration.
